With ADENTICS GREEN we would like to achieve a shift in the approach to orthodontic practice. We would like to see our sector reduce its impact on the environment.
Since we cannot make any compromises on the hygiene conditions during treatment – and do not wish to – we are dependent on the use of synthetic materials (rubber gloves, face masks, plastic appliances, etc.).
To compensate for this unfortunately unavoidable burden on the environment, ADENTICS is now donating a tree for for every 10 kilos of plastic waste we have to produce. As well as for every new employee hired.
And because we were so impressed by Felix Finkbeiner’s story, we support his Plant-For-The-Planet project: wikipedia.org/wiki/Plant-for-the-Planet
At the start of the project we planted 1000 trees and will now plant more trees every two weeks.
Click here to see where our trees have been planted:
We have reduced our paper consumption by 90 % and are nearly paper-free in almost every area. Unfortunately, we are still obligated to print hard copies of certain official forms and treatment contracts.
Intraoral scanners at all of our locations enable us to make digital impressions. Not only are these more hygienic and precise, they also save resources on moulding materials and disinfecting solution. The transport of the jaw models to the laboratory takes place digitally.
Our 3D printers work only with compostable filament. Our jaw models can be thrown on the compost heap!
We support the Plant-for-the-Planet project and plant one tree for:

For reasons of hygiene we cannot completely avoid plastic waste (rubber gloves, sterile packaging, etc.), but we compensate for this by planting additional trees: We plant an additional tree for every 10 kilogrammes of waste for recycling bin.
Modern, treatment methods designed to reduce the number and length of appointments, combined with tele-medical care, save our patients many trips to the practice and further improve orthodontic care at home.
Our home office workplaces avoid additional trips to work.
We have been relying on video telephony since 2008 to save unnecessary travel by our staff.
Die Umstellung aller Standorte auf energiesparende LED Beleuchtungstechnik spart Strom.
X-rays and referral letters are no longer printed. Instead they are sent in digitally, in encrypted form.
Our printed materials, such as stationery, business cards, flyers, folders, etc. are printed on environmentally friendly papers. In addition, we pay attention to an environmentally friendly manufacturing process of the printed products. Such as climate-neutral printing and shipping, organic inks, chemical-free printing plates and green electricity.
Our packaging is produced with environmentally friendly papers.
The packaging meets the characteristics: Biodegradable, Renewable materials, Reduced weight, Compostable, Plastic-free and Locally produced.
We have replaced plastic cups with organic paper cups. The inner coating consists of PLA and is obtained from corn or beets. Our coffee cup is biodegradable, consists of renewable raw materials, is recyclable and 100% plastic free!
Our pens are biodegradable. The pens are made of BioPlast and contain renewable raw materials. BioPlast is a new material which extracts plastics from the cardboard packaging of Tetra Pak (TM) in the recycling process.
We removed the plastic toothbrushes from the range a long time ago and now give our patients bamboo brushes if they don't have their own.
Even the adhesive tape is produced green - because plastic was yesterday. Our new kraft tape is made of coated brown paper, covered with natural rubber adhesive, it is printed with water-based ink and is fully recyclable.
At ADENTICS you will no longer find toothpaste tubes in the oral hygiene department. On the one hand, we want to prevent a tube from passing through several hands to protect against infection. On the other hand, we are thus reducing further unnecessary plastic waste as part of our ADENTICS green campaign.
Plastic-free oral hygiene: You get the toothbrush tablet from the reception from the glass bottle and brushing is done with an Ecobrush bamboo toothbrush.
At ADENTICS, we do not use disposable plastic cups for rinsing during treatment. Instead, we use high-quality stainless steel cups. These are not only reusable, but also particularly durable and hygienic.
Every little step counts to protect our environment. With the stainless steel cups, we are reducing plastic consumption and conserving our planet's resources. Together for a greener future with ADENTICS green.
Freshly disinfected and hygienically packaged, our appliances make their way from the laboratory to the appointment in the treatment room. The translucent paper bags are completely plastic-free for this transport route.
